About Us, in 1997, LABrokers was the first Irish insurance broker to sell a policy online (about our first online client they were from Tralee, Co. Kerry) and over the years our ability to discount and to obtain bulk discounts from insurers for life insurance, mortgage protection and PRSAs means we can get you exactly the same policy as you would get elsewhere but cheaper than if you went directly to your bank or to the insurance company. We realise as a customer you require an excellent price on your insurance and you require ongoing service in the years to come. In this respect we have an established track record and we are committed to meeting these expectations in the future.
Our chief executive is John Geraghty, who has many years’ experience of looking after the Life Insurance, Mortgage Protection, PRSA and PRSA AVC requirements, of clients from all over Ireland. Our foundations are firmly based in our successful “real world” insurance brokerage practice in Greystones, Co. Wicklow.
What We Do
We specialise in arranging cheaper Life Insurance and Mortgage Protection. For Standard Personal Retirement Savings Accounts PRSA & PRSA AVCs we arrange these with Zurich where the only charge is the 1% annual management. The allocation rate is 100% and this means 100% of your investment goes into your pension plan for the life of the policy. There are no other fees and the contract is between you and Zurich. LABrokers are ‘execution only’ brokers and do not handle client funds.
About How We Do It
LABrokers is paid a commission for acting as intermediary in arranging your policy. However, because we take less commission and have volume business discounts we use this to your advantage by arranging your policy cheaper than you can get it elsewhere. This is cheaper than if you went directly to the insurer and once we have set up your policy for you the contract is between you and the insurer and it is the insurer that handles your payments and administration. LABrokers are here to answer any queries and support you may need on an ongoing basis.
